Admissions season lasts weeks. Coaching cannot wait for it to end.
The intake window is short and loud.By the time anyone reviews the calls, the season is over and the number is fixed.
- Fix
- Price doubt answered with a discount, not with value
- Say
- “What would this need to change for it to be worth the budget?”
- Because
- “It’s a good programme, but that’s above what we planned.”11:04
This is not another course for your sales team.
You already run training. The gap is not knowledge — it is that nobody knows which of twelve things to fix this week, on which person, before the window closes.
The window is six weeks and it is already week two
Intake calls come in bursts, parents ask the same five questions, and the answers vary by whoever picked up. By the time somebody reviews recordings, the season is closed and the number is what it is.
Coaching after the season is a lesson for next year, not for this one.
What changes
Weekly, not after the season
The plan lands every Monday while the intake is still running, not in the retrospective when nothing can be changed.
What parents actually ask
Price doubt, timing, “is my child ready” — counted across every call, in the words they used.
Seasonal hires on the line in days
Intake teams grow fast and shrink again. New people rehearse on an AI parent instead of on a real one.

Hand each counsellor three things for this week
Every counsellor gets three growth areas drawn from their own intake calls, with what to keep and what to change written out. Three, because a week in the middle of a season has room for three. It lands on Monday, while the window is still open.Three things to fix this week, per person, while the intake window is still open.Simon Reed

Agree the next step before hanging up
Seven of nine calls ended on "I will follow up". None had a date.
Before we hang up: what date works for the follow-up, and who else should be on it?
Answer the rollout worry instead of moving past it
Raised in five calls, answered in none of them.
What made it not stick last time, the tool or the habit around it?
Ask what the number is being compared against
Four calls went to terms before anyone said what the budget was.
Above what you planned. What were you working from?
Count what parents say, and what your team answered
Start later, the payment question, expensive, we want a trial first. Each one arrives with two numbers: how often parents raised it, and how often somebody answered it properly. The gap between those two numbers is the season you lost. What stopped parents this season, and how often your counsellors handled it.What stops your buyers
Every objection heard this quarter, and how often the team actually got past it.

«Before we go further, how does this work if we start mid-quarter?»
Forty per cent worked out means sixty per cent of interest quietly went nowhere.

The main pain, in their words
«We were interested in this area back in the spring, then summer started and we stopped.»
Proof call #108046 · 00:35
What moves them
«I want him to develop in this direction, and I want to know where.»
Proof call #108046 · 04:18
The objection and how to handle it
«He didn’t find anything new in the trial, and he hasn’t defined his goals yet.»
Both parts are one objection: the course reads as too easy because no goal has been set. Answer with the goal first: "even if he is already ahead on the basics, a foundation is what makes the rest reusable", and only then the level.
Rehearse the price question on an AI parent
Seasonal counsellors arrive weeks before the peak and have to be ready. They practise the conversation they are dreading against a parent who hesitates, asks about the child’s level and pushes back on price, as many times as it takes, without spending a real family to learn on.The objection your counsellors meet most, rehearsed before a real parent hears the answer.Script trainer

Built for how an intake season actually runs
- The intake window
- Six weeks, and week two is already gone. The plan arrives every Monday inside the season, so this year’s number moves.
- The trial lesson
- The call before it and the call after it are different conversations. Each gets its own standard, and the drop between them becomes visible.
- Parents decide, children attend
- One call carries two people: the parent weighing the budget and the child who has to want it. Both show up in the review.
- Seasonal counsellors
- Teams double for the peak and shrink after it. New people rehearse on an AI parent and reach the line in days.
- Calls come in bursts
- Forty enquiries on Tuesday evening and four on Friday. Every one is read, so the burst stops deciding what gets reviewed.
What happens, and when
Week one
Every intake call of the season so far is read, including the ones nobody had time for.
Week two
The five questions parents actually ask are ranked by how often they come up, with the answers that worked.
Month one
Each counsellor has a weekly plan that changes with the season, not after it.
